Survival Kit Containers--Old Meets New

Reviews - Misc. Gear

Containers014cI like the outdoors as much as the next person, but I'm no sadist.  So, when I saw the temperature outside was 97 degrees a few days ago, I decided I didn't like it that much.  But, what to do?  I needed a little chicken soup for the soul and GoingGear.com had just recently sent me a couple of  ingredients that would help me enjoy the day a little bit more while staying nice and cool.

Walther Talon Magnum Air Rifle Review

Reviews - Misc. Gear

IMG_1685cGuns and the outdoors go together like peanut butter and jelly.  It's a sad fact though that, more and more, it's getting harder to find places to shoot and hunt.  One of the ways around that can be through the use of air rifles.  Air rifles are generally quieter, shorter range, and often not as restricted as conventional firearms and can make great tools for plinking, pest control, and even small game hunting.

DSC08583cAdditional Photos by Anders Mollers

Optics are an enigmatic mystery to me.  I never appreciated their use until I realized the potential in animal observation.  Not from a far off distance either.  Do you know how hard to bring a lens on an insect that is in the process of evading you?  I never thought of using binoculars until a buddy told me about a pair of close focusing binoculars from Pentax.
