Kakadu Double Bay Bomber Jacket

Reviews - Apparel

Every so often when you write for a website, you get the call that you fear more than anything… “Hey can you do this jacket review?” Not being familiar with the company and product line, at first glance I wrote the jacket off as simply a fashion piece, and wasn’t sure why we were looking at it for an outdoors magazine. That was my first thoughts when I was asked to check out the Kakadu Double Bay Bomber jacket.

Carhartt Detroit Blanket Lined Jacket

Reviews - Apparel

I was given the privilege to wear and review the Carhartt Detroit jacket this winter. The only problem is that winter never came to North Carolina. I officially broke out my summer clothes on St. Patrick’s Day. Be that as it may, I was able to get good use out of my jacket and give it a pretty good work out on the few days that I actually needed a warm jacket this winter.

Luke's Carhartt Review

Reviews - Apparel

After three months of Colorado winter, it's time for my final review of all the Carhartt clothing. I've certainly enjoyed it, and the clothing has held up extremely well. Which, after all, was exactly what I expected.

Carhartt Women's Hoodies

Reviews - Apparel

If you read my teaser, you know that Carhartt supplied a rather generous box of joy (in the form of clothes) to me right before Christmas. Today, I will be reviewing the ¼ zip hooded sweatshirt (affectionately nicknamed “hoodie” for brevity's sake) and the thermal lined hooded jacket. I have to say that most of the items that have come out of the box have become my go-to-all-time-favorite-things-to-wear. Really. I spend at least half of the week in something that has a Carhartt logo on it. (Not continuously, I change-they sent a lot, honest!)

Andy's Carhartt Review

Reviews - Apparel

Carhartt is a name that most of us blue collar folks know.  From farm and field to construction and industrial; Carhartt produces a fantastic variety of work wear clothing and hard use casual items.  They literally have every base covered.  So much so that, unless you know specifically what you’re after, a trip to their website can cause your head to spin from the sheer number of choices.  On top of the mass quantity there are also a great many categories.  Not to mention a full woman and children’s line round out a substantial catalog of finely crafted clothing.

Carhartt Track Suit

Reviews - Apparel

Life has been in a state of upheaval for me for the past two months. Right before Christmas my mother-in-law had a stroke and wound up in the hospital for the better part of a month. She's doing better now thankfully and recently moved in with us. This new arrangement will take some getting used to for everyone involved, and I'm sure there will be plenty of stress to go around.

Jeff's Carhartt Review

Reviews - Apparel

Just before Christmas, I contributed a teaser on a big box of Carhartt clothing that showed up on my front porch one day. Since that time I have worn one or more of the Carhartt articles of clothing every day, regardless of what I was doing. Carhartt very graciously sent a wide selection of items that gave me ample opportunities be in constant "test mode" since mid-December of 2011. Here we are in the second month of 2012 and closing in on the third quickly, but I managed, for the first time, to be in constant contact with all of the items tested. There was a variety of clothing which allowed for use of one item or another regardless of what was on the day's agenda, be it cutting or splitting wood, lavishing Jeeps with tender loving care, just plain woods bumming, going to work or being at home with my family over the holidays.

Carhartt Acadia JacketSo it’s two days after Christmas and I needed to get out of the house. I decided to take advantage of a momentary break in the rain to take a quiet walk along a meandering creek.  It was the perfect place to try out my new Carhartt Acadia jacket.
