Kayaker breaks own leg to survive

This one is out of Australia and pretty hardcore. Here’s a qoute from the article:

"The 38-year-old became trapped under a tree in the West Kiewa River and was close to drowning when he decided to snap his lower leg to save his life, paramedics said."

I always look at these types of stories with some amazement. Makes you wonder if you could do the same if you were in that position, doesn’t it?
